A week ago till now, I’v been following the french social boards, watched news on BBC claiming that the French parliament has a majority of votes banning it, the Burka.
They say if your wearing HIJAB without covering the face, thats fine, however if your covering your face, thats a NONO plus you’ll be fined.
What do you guys think ?
In my very humble opinion, I think that there are pluses and minuses to it.
Security ? PLUS.
Privacy? Minus.
Respect? Minus.
p.s: Thats a pic of my baby Lil Kim doing her thing way back in 2000, HAWT, HAH!

I love conversations. I love long long discussions, cool, easy breathable debates that sometimes enlightens both sides, sometimes it leads to no where.
Not all conversations make sense at the moment, many make sense after a long period. With me, some conversations made sense years after its occurrence.
I love to have a wrong/false idea about something/someone then get corrected by those who know what they’r talking about. THAT I love.
Im blessed to be a student of literature. Read many pieces from here and there. Studied the manners of arabic poetry/literature, in which they taught us how arab women were known to send very important letters to kings and queens with a line or two only. Full of respect and wisdom.
As a young kid, I never understood the value of this course till I met who I met recently. There were no one-liners, in a way, shape or form, there were mountains of words mixed with curses/profanities, hand gestures, body language and eye-laser-indications that brought me down.
I will discuss with you a sample of Kuwaiti men and women I met abroad recently who are completely new to my database. Strangers, new comers that blazed lots of personal issues out of no where and definitely for no reason.
Lemme just get to the root of what I want.
Before I do, please lets highlight the NO JUDGEMENT flag, yes ?
I have noticed that people open up to you more when they are abroad. They tend to think they wont see you again so they just pour everything out, cool.
I had long conversations with total strangers. Men and Women. I’ll just rephrase and decode what was said, make it PG for everyone.
MEN:
“When I drink red wine, I forget that *Nasty Nasty Nasty Nasty* Good for nothing *Nasty Nasty Nasty Nasty* woman/dog”
“Use ‘em throw ‘em, thats what they are made for, B!@#$”
“Are you going to the bar ? come with us, spend some cash, p!@#”
“When I travel I loose weight, you see, I like having white wine since its low cal, only 120 calories a glass, hahahaha im a mo!@(*! F!@#$ for sure”
“Here have a glass, have her, have anything you want you p!@#”
“I better pray before I sleep tonight, tomorrow I have to win big at the casino, those !@#$%%^^&@! took all my money”
- – - -
Ok, at first, all of that mess was cute in a way, but when I realized that there was lots of heat and unsettled mental arguments in their brains, I thought I should cross a red line. I did, Gladly.
Shoving your red wine in my face, your wife, your kids, girlfriend, sorry girlfriendS and all your crew of distasteful language/manners is something, asking me to be part of that mess is where I slow motion a slap on your mug.
Which reminds me, I was having my harsh on the throat diet coke with ice and lemon, so this man comes in screaming with his eyes all red and OUT “you have no idea how dangerous that is” with a cuban cigar on the right and god knows what in the left hand. I just smiled and said dangerous ? my my my. Yes indeed.
Oh and none of these men knew one another. I wonder why, I should have hooked them up. SIN GALORE.
My curse ? I smile a lot so I get to know more people. Lovely.
Some men tend to use curse words within sentences like a comma. Example:
“Haa, !@#$ $#@! ishloonik ?”
Yeah, they use it when all ties are up and the friendship is on its best terms as a sign of manly love/appreciation/Homie/dog/Dawg/buddies.
It may not be nice or appreciated generally, but its there wether we like it or not.
Trust me, I know you know what im talking about.
Women:
“My husband ? he doesn’t know it but im smart like any other b!@#$ should be”
“He goes out with another woman and i know it, he thinks he’s the only one, HAH! that son of a b!@#$”
“Why aren’t you married yet ? not interested in us ? do we bore you ? should we upgrade this, this, this or that” Pointing on everywhere imaginable.
“I love my husband, he’s amazing but he’s a son of a !@#$ too”
and my all time favorite line
“My boyfriend plays monopoly, I play !@#$LY”
There are more things I can not DECODE. I mean Lil’kim is an angel in comparison.
- – - – -
Look, I understand that some women may use curses from time to time, I understand that they use it internally/sisterhood/between each other – That I understand. I remember how some women would cover their mouths with their hands if they knew I heard what they said, its not about man power, its about being polite or presentable.
My thing was, aside from the lovely gestures and over the top street language, why are you sharing this with me ? I barely know you, Now I go through you, your boyfriend, husband and kids ? You did not mind the age gap, level of knowledge or the fact that Im not interested in all that mess but you placed it on the table, regardless.
Women are very delicate creatures, seeing them lose it in public/to me was so EVE/APPLE/BITE/FALL from grace.
This is not judgement, this is how I felt. I felt miserable, all the beauty I saw vanished in thin air.
I tried not to give in to what was said, but some were stubborn. Crossed another red line. Glad I did.
*PAUSE*
These men and women, supposedly, are highly respectable. They represent different families, all well known and all powerful in their own terms.
Anger/resentment/plots/Self-Destruct were definitely a driving force in most of what I saw and heard. All of those people were funny, easy going and just BIG children. I know in reality they mean no harm to no one. They are weak and broken. They escape through language, codes and numbers. Thats how they do it.
Conclusion:
Language is very powerful. Using words lightly strip away their true meaning. i,e; Going with “I love you” on repeat means nothing.
Men should understand that they may influence other men from a younger generation to go astray. Monkey sees, monkey does.
Women are gifts on earth just like flowers.
Flowers produce O2 and Honey. Nothing else.
“If you want to stand out, don’t be different, be outstanding”
Meredith West

News item
“In what is being seen as a backlash against the hijab, nightclubs in Cairo are refusing to allow hijab-wearing women in.
In trendy clubs and cafes across Cairo the hijab is increasingly being shunned as unacceptable dress.Several bars and restaurants where alcohol is served now essentially ban veiled women from entering. The policy is more open in some places than others but seems to apply to at least half a dozen Cairo venues.”
This raises certain questions:
- Is Egypt an Islamic nation or no?
- Is there a common Arab culture?
- Are all Arabs Islamic?
- Can a nation have only Islamic people & none others?
- Is multi-faith worship acceptable among Arab nations?
- What exactly is the dress code for women, as prescribed and accepted by Islam?
- Is the world looking towards Islam in a biased way, due to the fact that their dress code makes them Islamic & look separate from the others?
Well these are just common questions that come to the mind to anybody from outside the Arab / Islamic community.
Afterall one should respect all faiths.

…and other interesting smartphone statistics. When compared with some of the other smartphones on the market, owners of phones running Google’s Android mobile operating system are predominantly male. This finding comes from analytics firm AdMod’s latest Mobile Metrics Report , which revealed that 73% of Android users are male. Meanwhile, on the iPhone, iPod Touch and Palm platforms, the ratio of male to female owners was more even. However, males were still in the majority even on those devices, accounting for 54% to 58% of the users. This was only one of the findings from the firm’s January report, which also examined ages of smartphone owners, propensity to download and pay for mobile applications and interest in purchasing the upcoming Apple iPad. Sponsor Kids Love the iPod Touch and the Free Apps Most of the statistics AdMob revealed weren’t all that shocking. For example, iPhone owners are more likely to purchase an iPad than owners of other smartphones. 16% said they intend to buy Apple’s new slate computer when it arrives in March, while only 11% of Palm webOS users and 6% of Android owners said the same. This finding can easily be attributed to the so-called “fanboy” syndrome among Apple hardware owners – that is, the tendency of those who own Apple products to want to buy more Apple products. Sometimes described as fanaticism, it’s really just a testament to popularity of the brand and it’s repeat customer business. Another interesting, but still explainable, statistic involves the buying habits of iPod Touch and iPhone owners. Those who own the less expensive iPod Touch devices tend to download more free applications than those who own an iPhone. And they download a lot of apps, too. On average, Touch owners download 12 apps per month – that’s 37% more apps than iPhone and Android users. They also spend more time playing with their apps – 100 minutes per day, 25% more time than iPhone or Android users. At first, those figures may have you scratching your head – after all, isn’t the iPod Touch the exact same mobile operating system as the iPhone? And doesn’t its Wi-Fi-only connectivity actually limit the functionality of a lot applications since so many require an Internet connection to work? The answer to both questions is yes. But the reason why the iPod users appear to be more active and engaged is explained in another section of the report. According to the demographics, they’re much younger. 78% of iPod Touch users are under 25 (compared with 25% of iPhone users) and they’re often students, too. These are very sort of users who have time to play with a ton of apps. They’re also, not surprisingly, the least likely to pay for them. iPod Touch owners download an average of 10.5 free apps per month and only 1.6 paid apps during that same time. iPhone owners, however, download 7.0 free apps per month and 1.8 paid ones. Why are So Many Android Owners Male? The only truly odd statistic to arise from this report is the gender variance among Android owners. With a 78%/22% male-to-female ratio, the question that comes to mind is why are so many owners male? There is a wide range of Android-powered smartphones for people to choose from, including everything from sleek-and-shiny HTC devices to keyboard-ready Droids from Motorola and Verizon . In other words, there’s an Android handset out there for everyone. Our only guess as to why the statistics are skewing male for Android may have something to do with the latest Droid marketing efforts. Commercials for Verizon’s Droid send the message that the phones are the equivalent of having a “robot in your pocket” and the latest show a robot’s finger quickly typing out searches on the phone’s on-screen keyboard. While arguably, some females are sure to love robots too (especially those interested in reading about smartphone statistics here!), a campaign that uses robots and reminds you of all the things the Droid does that the iPhone doesn’t is a non-too-subtle attempt to play to the male ego and that gender’s stereotypical desire for constant one-upmanship among their peers. And that’s not the worst of it, either. Another Droid ad, spotted by CNNMonney blogger Elmer DeWitt in December, targeted the male demographic in the “most testosterone-heavy TV commercial to date,” he noted at the time. The ad copy read: Droid. Should a phone be pretty? Should it be a tiara-wearing digitally clueless beauty pageant queen? Or should it be fast? Racehorse duct-taped to a Scud missile fast. We say the latter. So we built the phone that does. Does rip through the Web like a circular saw through a ripe banana. Is it a precious porcelain figurine of a phone? In truth? No. It’s not a princess. It’s a robot. A phone that trades hair-do for can-do. So congratulations, marketers. It appears you have successfully attracted the males to your handset. But in ignoring the potential female users, you’re doing smartphone owners a disservice. The Droid, and other Android-based phones too, are powerful, attractive and easy-to-use handsets that should have a broad appeal. It may be time to remind the women of that. Discuss

Look, this is completely none of my business, completely, I was just wondering if you do or dont.
Let me elaborate, some people believe in Karma. Some believe they can sense good or bad energies when they enter a place. Some mothers claim the following “A mother knows best” when it comes to people they dont feel comfortable towards, im sure you all had your moments.
Boys always have a line that goes like this “I dont like him, there is something about him that does not feel right” when they encounter a new fellow.
Where do you stand ?

Name: Alworud.com
Site: http://www.alworud.com
Type: Sport / Soccer
Brief: For the first time I think, girls have a decent indoor place to practice soccer and other kind of sports. For 30 KD an hour, no more than men usually pay, girls can get their own indoor artificial grass field, and on the side can set and enjoy the cafeteria, and hey, Wi-Fi. How come we don’t have that? Interested people can even book the whole place for one day for, umm, 240 KD. But that’s good for large gatherings and special occasions I guess.
They also have a website for online booking called Inspor, although I have to say, the mix of the two sites is a bit confusing.
At all rates, I think it’s a great thing to have, and hope the girls can enjoy it (without invading our territory please!)

Some 24 million Chinese men of marrying age will find themselves lacking wives in 2020, partly because of the country’s one-child policy, which has led to the abortion of female fetuses, state media said Monday.
Sex-specific abortions have led to a large male population born since the 1980s, the China Daily newspaper said, citing a study conducted by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
The gender imbalance means that the next decade will see many intergenerational marriages: young men married to women much older than them, the study said.
China’s Communist Party implemented the one-child rule three decades ago, amid fears that the country would not be able to feed a skyrocketing population. The policy has prevented about 400 million births, China Daily said.
China’s population, which stands at about 1.3 billion, is growing at the rate of 0.6 percent. It is expected to peak around 1.6 billion by 2050, the U.S. State Department said.

Ladies, I got your back, you know I do, lord knows I do so listen up.
If and for any reason you want to have something from your man and he says no, what do you do ? I’ll tell you the usual answers.
You would:
- Flip your hair and do the catwalk. Unleash the dog in him right ?
- Freakum dress + “I will seduce you” make up.
- Promise you’ll watch the derby ” Barcelona & Chelsea” but you know you wont, Oprah is your savior, *snap*
or you can have this. A brand new weapon that speaks to his senses. Brownies Delight’s Spanking NEW Lollypop “I’ll give you what you want” treat.

You dont understand, the effect it did/does to my brain is Miraculous, I smile and I dont know why, it brings out the KOKO/Crazy side of me out. What is this ? what is it made of ? I do not know PLUS i wouldent dare to get into details of how this piece of zexniess was made.
This piece is placed upside down, the top of it is facing down smothered in I DONT KNOW WHAT kind of sauce, whatever it is, I wanted to sing ” Keep Giving your Love To Me “ to it and literally had this reaction

You see, after I ate it, I said YES to three things I said no to before. Yes, its DANGEROUS/Hazerdous mentally.
You dont need to pay up that much for a lethal weapon, just get this and watch US melt before your eyes. You might be lucky enough to hear one male species uttering ” Your wish is my command, yes I’ll buy you that Hermes bag, I’ll do it “

Oh oh and we are not done yet my loves, we are so not done. We have the brownies now. Oh LORD HAVE mercy on me, what the hell was that ? I will give it to you plain and simple. The best brownies I had in KUWAIT. Thats it, thats all im saying.
Fahad, my friend, who had these brownies before had a bad experience and he fully takes it back with this statement:
“I hereby retreat my previous comments about Brownies Delight. When I first had it, it might’ve not been fresh, thus the taste was ruined. I tried many kinds and flavors on Monday, and I’m happy to say that it exceeded all expectations; it definitely ranks amongst the top five brownie bakeries I have ever tried.
PS: The lollipop brownies are to die for, literally; they’re heavenly.”
Flavors range from:
Kinder, sugar, snickers, walnut, nutella, flake, oreo & marshmallows.
I guess we’r done here.
The package

Girl, the package is super cute, the hand written sticker on the top gives it a very nice/personal approach, as if it was made specially for me. I love it.
Kiddies, you know what to do. These are your abdominal weapons that can be used to take down any man/woman:

It seems that most luxury brands are hitting the affordable fashion lines. And it’s all happening with H&M. I recall the Roberto Cavalli collection for H&M and now we’re talking about Jimmy Choo luxury brand which will hit H&M this thursday at the Avenues 10 A.M. The collection will include women and men clothing, shoes, bags and accessories. I guess they will be sold at affordable prices too. So for all Jimmy Choo lovers, get your stuff from H&M on thursday before it’s too late because I bet that the collection won’t last for a week even!

I went yesterday with The Stallion to the AWL Xmas bazaar held at Salwa Al Sabah hall. The event was nice and so many products were displayed which were nice…mainly it was ladies stuff. Also I had the chance to meet some friends I haven’t seen in a while. The expo was for one day only. I should have posted about it earlier however I knew about it an hour before.
See you there next year..:P

News has surfaced of Fergie’s bisexual past. This comes right after the accusation of her hubby partying it up with a stripper who happened to do that radio rounds to get her story across. Fergie didn’t deny her bisexual past and lesbian love stories. She said that this story is 5 years too old and that she has no shame in her game for the dames. Okay, that was lame. At any rate, we’re blogging from the bathroom and too lazy to rectify. Boo!

Under Islam, divorce is frowned upon, with the Prophet Mohammed saying divorce was, in the eyes of God, the most distasteful lawful act.
Hence, according to a Reuters report, Malaysias eastern state of Terengganu is offering free honeymoons worth up to $440 each to rekindle the romance between married couples on the brink of divorce.
The honeymoon package comes with some counselling and is an attempt to slow soaring divorce rates in the state.
Well, even Kuwait has high divorce rates and it will be a welcome gesture towards the society, if the Kuwait goverment replicates such a move.
Please forward this to the concerned Minister or the press media to highlight this in the press.

Converting a five-day work week into a four-day work would result in higher job satisfaction and lower levels of work-family conflict, thus leading to higher productivity.
The means to switch from five 8-hour days to four 10-hour days, meaning overall hours and salaries stay the same.
The hope was that by shutting down buildings for an extra day each week, energy bills would be slashed by up to a fifth.
Researchers have analysed the potential benefits of four-day work week transition and found that the employees were satisfied with their jobs, and enhanced productivity.
They found that even though four-day work week employees work the same number of hours per week as their traditional work-week counterparts, they reported being more satisfied with their jobs, compensation, and benefits , and were less likely to look for employment elsewhere in the next year.
With the four-day work schedule, employees were less likely to report that they come home too tired, that work takes away from personal interest, and that work takes time they would like to spend with family.
There are going to be very real benefits for employees, specifically decreased gas cost, decreased commute time (both because they only have to commute four days, but also because they will be commuting during off-peak times, so the commute could potentially be shorter each day), and hopefully, improved work-life balance.
All of us out here in Kuwait will love this 4-day week, more time for Diwaniyas, for shopping, for gossiping, for outing, for gettogethers, for picnics, for long fun drives, for quality time with loved ones, for improving relations between couples, for everything.
Post Eid holidays, this is an option the Parliament should seriously look into.

They were standing so still, we knew they were a flashmob. Do the Black Eyed Peas really need any more promotion for their tired old album? She’s opening big, with this and the Whitney Houston exclusive. I wonder what she’s doing for 25th anniversary. did Oprah really have to plug in that phone that bad?

The Lingerie Football League kicks off its season this Friday, so we thought we would give you a little preview. The concept originated in 2004 with a Super Bowl halftime alternative special called the Lingerie Bowl. In the past I believe the Bowl was a bit of a joke, featuring models who really couldn’t play football. However this season all that has changed. While the women are certainly beautiful, and they still wear lingerie, now they can play too. This fall, ten LFL inaugural season teams will compete in a twenty week season with games being played at major arenas and stadiums. The weekly broadcast will be shot in high-definition and will be available via cable television as well as online streaming.
When this first came out a few years back it was just a half-time show in the superbowl and they had one game last year. And now for the first time they turned it into a full season with all the teams. I don’t think people should take this lightly, they are bunch of hot girls but this is a contact sport so somebody is gonna get roughed up. It took a genius to put this together, and I for one am gonna enjoy watching some of these games, I’m curious to see the skills of some of these girls who have been on these teams for a while now and I have gone through some intense training.

The conservative Saudis are increasingly availing of misyar, a no-strings marriage of convenience focused primarily on sexual relations.
Misyar allows couples to live separately , but maintain sexual relations . The women who accept it are spinsters , divorcees and widowsare deprived of almost all the rights that a normal marriage would entitle them to, but offers men an opportunity for a bit of fun on the side, in secret, and at a huge discount.
Misyars rising popularity also owes to the high cost of marriage in Saudi Arabia, as dowry, dinners, parties , decorating a flat and the honeymoon , set the groom back several hundred thousand riyals. Misyar for cash-strapped men is a boon.
A Saudi claimed that he entered several misyar marriages after his first normal marriage fell apart. He said none lasted for more than six months. He confided that he had hoped to find a compatible partner for a permanent relationship but it didnt work out. He also said the marriages had not been as cost effective as he had hoped, as misyar wives are crafty and inclined to extract money and gifts.
Thanks to Bluetooth technology, friendly websites and an abundance of furnished apartments in major cities like Riyadh and Jeddah, there are tales of Misyar wives who have clandestinely entered into more than one misyar contract.
These enlightened ladies say misyar husbands never tell their fulltime wives about their relationships so why cant Misyar wives have similar arrangements it stated.
Internet advertisements for misyar marriages often reveal the desperation of those looking for partners , with some only demanding a woman with the ability to satisfy the needs of a man who desires things permitted by religion.
Misyar is popular in the kingdom because in a society where extramarital and premarital sex is a cardinal sin it legitimises sexual relations outside the framework of conventional marriage.
Is it not another way of prostitution? The society, be it conservative or modern, always finds a way out to have sexual pleasure with multiple partners.
There are different views and perceptions to it, but the underlying purpose is to have sexual pleasure with fun and with the least of bonds.

A recent news item said that a German company has launched a range of ladies swimwear, which dissolves in water in exactly 3 minutes.
It is being marketed a gift item for your ex girlfriend. The idea is to take her for a swim, in the guise of a possible patch-up or reconciliation or a revival for a friendship.
Well, whatever the reasons, the results can be extremely embarassing for the wearer and a lot of fun for the voyueristic minds.
Well, it strikes a semblance to the x-ray goggles.
The creator must be on a Playboy payroll, I think?
