40. Yes, 4 decades ago a human set foot on another body in space (that we know of). For some reason people find this a point of celebration. I have always been interested in our planet’s sphere. I am also interest in mapping the ocean floors since the human has only visited 2% of the ocean floor. We really have no clue what’s down there. My thing is, why go colonize and explore other planets when there is so much shit going on here that needs fixing? Why don’t we just work on what we have instead of going out on a limb and visiting outer space and, in the long run, destroying it like we did to our planet? I am not a rocket scientist and there might be great reasons for this voyage, but I feel like it’s another way the big suits can tap into a new territory to exploit it and its resources.

Boy did Barron's get it wrong in late 2007 when they published this article. Take a look at their suggestion to skip Berkshire Hathaway and buy AIG. Had you bought AIG at 57 dollars you would be sitting on a loss of around 97%. Nasty by any standard I say especially when you consider that mortgage pains were beginning to show when this happened. Before I begin, let me mention that I have really enjoyed the movie, particularly Heath Ledger’s outstanding performance as the Joker. Batman, in my opinion, lacked in several elements:
- No Bat Cave
I’m sorry, but a basement with brightly lit lights does not fit with Batman’s dark persona.
- The Destruction of the Batmobile
Rather than use the advanced features of the his sophisticated batmobile, Batman drove recklessly, in an attempt to prevent Harvey from being targeted, and ended up destroying his vehicle altogether. It was as though he deliberately wanted to obliterate his own vehicle just to use the motorbike!
- Inferior to Dogs
Someone explain to me why a deadly martial artist in hard titanium armor would ever be concerned about a regular pair of dogs?
- All-Along Guess Work
When Batman couldn’t figure out what the Joker’s next move will be, rather than solve riddles and connect the dots, he goes ahead and spies on all of Gotham’s wireless communication violating everybody’s privacy along with it. Way to go; real classic case solving, detective!
- Sonar Vision
I could pass up the fact that all mobile phones were omitting omni-directional high frequency pulses during the end of the movie, but there was no way that there were enough phones to generate an accurate realtime 3D structure of an entire building! It wouldn’t hurt to have Batman wear a large pulse generator gadget on his belt you know.

The cause of price rises is simple. Oil used to sell for $20 and now fetches $145 – so the UAE has got much richer. The domestic economy of apartments, shops and hairdressers, however, cannot expand so quickly and that means a choice. The UAE either keeps its currency pegged to the dollar, in which case too many dirhams will chase too few goods, and prices will inevitably rise; or else revalue the dirham so each one is worth more dollars.

All this name-calling and insult-flinging has gotten us thinking. Since when has an opinion been valid if it is not well-researched. This age of misinformation has made a way for all conservatives to turn any word into a curse word. Conservatives are willing to go the length and make Nazi comparisons with people without actually knowing that Nazism is closer to their turf than anyone else’s. Another term being branded as an insult is “socialist.” This coming from people who wouldn’t know Karl Marx from Richard Marx. Liberals have been too quiet for too long. The free-thinkers of the world, with their appreciation and respect for other people’s opinions, have let delinquents pave a way for their miseducation. A full-blown assault on progression has been launched as a result of this live-and-let-live mindset. It’s time to fight ignorance in full-force.
