1. In 2009 Loft965.com billed you as one of the artists to keep an eye out for in 2010. How was your year been so far?
Its been a great year. VERY busy. First of all I released “Memoirs”, my debut album. Also I have been touring the UK and Europe and have played at some amazing festivals. Oh and yes, forgot to mention, I got to play at the same festivals as Stevie Wonder, Grace Jones, Herbie Hancock!!!!
2. Memoirs is your Debut album. How much time and effort did it take for you to complete it?
Memoirs took a lot of time and efforts for me, I am ultimately very proud of it though so all the hard work paid out. Also it was such a great experience and I am so happy to have had the chance to work and collaborate with many brilliant artists.
3. We know your influences include Joni Mitchell, Sade, Alanis Morissette, Mary J. Blige and Lauryn Hill, but who would your dream collaboration be with?
How about ALL THE ABOVE!
4. “My Baby Left Me” and “I Don’t Believe” are some of our favourite tracks of the year. When will the next single drop and which track will it be?
Thanks! My next single will be Rocksteady and will be released in September. I am looking forward to it. Its the most “Reggae” track out of the whole album and one which emphasizes my Jamaican Roots.
5. Here at Loft965.com we love us some quotes. What’s your favourite quote or proverb?
“If you don’t want anyone to know, don’t do it!”

In a feeble attempt to boost my blogging, I decided to check if I could blog from my iPod. Lo and behold, I can. I’m currently typing from my Touch, and to all you iPhone users, how the flipping hell do you type on this thing without not wanting to stomp it to a pulp? Alright, so the previous image isn’t exactly accurate, but you get the idea, right? Good.
I’m still on the hunt for a job, which sounds ridiculous seeing how I have no idea what the hell it is I want to do with my life. Off topic, but why the he’ll does my iPod automatically correct “hell” into “he’ll”? What gives, Apple?! Right, back to me being unemployed. Many say I should bask in the state of nothingness that I’ve been blessed with, but I can’t; the unproductively is gnawing slowly and ruthlessly. Off topic again, I won’t bother reading through his when I’m done; if the post’s riddled with typos, blame it on my darling iPod.
I guess that’s enough randomness for one post. It’s 5:30 AM, and I should at least pretend I’m going to sleep. Bonne nuit, et bonjour.

This past June has brought in record numbers for our little blog, here. We managed to get our best month ever in consistency while building up our fan base to record proportions. The blog is on fire and we are loving every bit of it. Of course now we have 3 contributors and myriad of loyal friends from all over the world who believe in a thing called pop. We also managed to notch up a couple celebrity fans and we have landed on the roster of many press agencies wanting to market their artists, from representatives of new artists to that of Kylie Minogue, Sade, Lady Gaga, Toni Braxton and more. We look forward to the future and hope to fill you ears with the best music out there. A huge thank you in the form of digital love to you all. It’s been exactly a year since our beloved Michael Jackson has passed away and pop hasn’t been the same since. As if his passing wasn’t enough, people started insulting playing “Billie Jean” and “Beat It” on repeat as if the King was only good for two hits, or anything that came from Thriller. But, his legacy continues and the real musicologists know that he is more than just an 80s’ fad or fading star.

Regarding to the ” Walk ” event that aims to spread the awareness of autism ” Autistic ” Under the patronage of H.H Sheikh Ahmad AL Abdullah AL Ahmad AL Sabah. Im going to make this short and clear, Their are many and i mean ” Many ” disorders around the world, And i am delighted and thankful that someone thought of bringing up such campaign. Despite That all health campaigns are important to as, the most health campaigns that i have seen here in kuwait are the cancer campaigns. What i am trying to say here is, many people do not now what autistic disorder is. therefor, i have done some research related to autistic disorder and id love to share that information with you. I hope what i have tried cover would fulfill your needs to understand such campaign ” Autistic “.
What is autistic disorder?
Autistic disorder is also called autism, is a neurological and developmental disorder that usually appears during the first 3 years of life. A child with autism appears to live in his/her own world, showing little interest in others, and a lack of social awareness. The focus of an autistic child is a consistent routine and includes an interest in repeating odd and peculiar behaviors. Autistic children often have problems in communication, avoid eye contact, and show limited attachment to others.
Autism can prevent a child from forming relationships with others. A child with autism may resist cuddling, play alone, be resistant to change, and or have delayed speech development. Persons with autism tend to exhibit repeated body movements (such as flapping hands or rocking) and have unusual attachments to objects. However, many people with autism excel consistently on certain mental tasks.
What causes autism?
The cause of autism is not known. Research suggests that autism is a genetic condition. It is believed that several genes are involved in the development of autism. Research studies in autism have found a variety of abnormalities in the brain structure and chemicals in the brain, however, there have been no consistent findings. One theory is the possibility that autistic disorder is a behavioral syndrome that includes several distinct conditions. However, parenting behaviors are not the cause or a contributing factor to the cause or causes of autism.
What are the symptoms of autism?
1-kids do not socially interact well with others, including parents.
2-kids do not communicate well with others.
3- kids have demonstrates repetitive behaviors, such as rocking and hand or finger flapping.
4-kids are always preoccupied, usually with lights, moving objects, or parts of objects.
5-The kids do not like noise.

Categorizing works best with my brain so here is the breakdown:
The Design:
What you see is a reflection of my soul, very personal, who I am, my current state of mind, where I am today. Just like anyone else, I made mistakes, sinned, hallucinated, rebelled and made the devil’s job easier. I thank GOD for the gift of growth, enlightenment and maturity.
The basic elements that represent nature seen on the logo are common grounds that my soul rests upon.
Sun, light/ energy/ creativity.
Water, nourishment/ fulfillment / moisture.
Trees/ Grass/ Flowers, beauty/ earthy/ roots/ nurture.
Butterfly/birds, freedom/ possibilities/ higher grounds.
Mountain, wisdom/ knowledge/ patience.
I truly believe, deep in my heart, that you can never go wrong with nature. The direction I wanted was something stripped down to the roots, earthy, real, peaceful, moves away from current trends, yet set new ones.
Speaking of trends, Circus BC (design company & new family) decided to set NEW trends that others will follow shortly:
- Design a logo that is embedded/part of/molded into the main artwork, making it the major element as smooth as it could possibly be.
- Create flash animation that adds richness to our high end visual elements. Still, its simple and spacious. Eye pleasing in other words.
The Slogan:
Since spirituality is what I live for, I decided to use this well known quote by two of the most beloved prophets ever “Let There Be Light”, well said by Jesus (Essa) son of the virgin Mary and Mohammed peace be upon them all. All prophets, inspired me to see the light found within us. If these people I quote are who I aim to please after GOD, then I know im on the right path.
I hope when you read this slogan, you find/sense a smile upon your faces. I hope you see the light, kindness, love and peace within you before you ask others to give it to you.
Plus, a very special message to someone I know is reading this “Sometimes you have to let go of the good things around you, to let great things replace them” Bless you. I forgive you. I love you.
The Story:
Well, its a really long story, I wish Miss Noor Al-Wazzan would give you some insight to it (Check her out next week on p0ach) I can say that it started with a phone call, an apointment, then there I was, one step closer to my new creative family.
I first sat down with the ever so wonderful/talented Miss Noor Al-Wazzan and insanely creative, coffee lover, Bechara Imad on a long white table a few months back. The room was all white, stretched table, big windows, just the three of us. They said “Talk to us about yourself” I did and we went through many details about me, my brain, how I saw things, what I want to avoid, what I want to add, just the technical stuff, nothing visual.
Trust me when I say that I was a bit hesitant, on so many levels. I dont know how to explain it, its just how I was.
This hesitation DIS-APPEARD the moment I saw the sketches. Understand that the sketches were not some fancy good looking drawings. These were decoded scripts that they translated from my brain cells right on to paper. THEY DECODED ME. I dont know if you understand this, or have the ability to do so BUT the ability for anyone to crack my brain open and give me a vision I kept deep inside of me on paper is beyond words. Astonishment was the phase I was in.
Everything I said on our first meeting, was written down, saved and filed. They went through it, analyzed it and me all together then gave me the mold of this mixture. I loved it and just ran away with it !
The designs kept going back and forth, loved the process, QUALITY, level of understanding and overall presentation. What I mean by that is not having to choose between designs randomly, they would give me two designs for instance and say ” look, we chose this because of this reason, we chose that for this particular reason and since this is your blog you have the final say” ofcourse with their recommendations and strong vision.
I loved how organized the process was, we went from A – Z almost effortlessly. The meeting, goal setting, future vision, creative breakdown. Let me be honest here. What we are talking about is a BLOG. For them to give me all this attention was just beyond my expectations, BIG TIME. Specially the quality of work presented, I loved it. I honestly did.
Being very sharp on time and deadlines, I had an absolute ZERO fuss in that field with them, they were always quicker, sharper and on time.
I dont know how they managed shutting down my craziness, insanity and dinosaur hormones. I dont know how but they did.
Technical Stuff:
I may not have alot to say in the technical field here. Why ? well its simple because I understand nothing so Mr.Abby who works over there as the insane/creative/wordpress master mind, does not know how to say the word “NO”. He does not say NO at all. Everything I ask he says “yes we can do it” or “yes, easy”. That, to me, kept my comfort level going up with almost zero boundaries.

- Bottom down page navigation to check previous posts easily ( i know, PRAISE THE LORD HAH!)
- Bigger posting space.
- All previous comments posted on the About ME and CONTACT pages have been restored, fully.
- Minor requests done, enhanced and fixed.
- Check the bottom page for the actual new logo with an embedded button for the design company also.

I have alot of projects that I am working on right now to serve this blogging community, current and new talents and there are things that will hopefully reach the scale of the whole country too.

Design company, Circus BC is a company that believes in the power of small business. It believes in supporting the local youth tremendously. They beleive that you are the core of what’s important, now and in the future. Managing small businesses is a new segment they opened up recently. They are willing to share, give, motivate and help you get real solutions for whatever it is you might need. Lets stress here on quality before anything else.

Trying to update my blog’s layout has reminded me how much I hate HTML, and how much of a crappy job I do. Either way, it’s purple, it’s pretty…have I mentioned it’s purple?

One of my very very good friends and colleagues, HKR, decided to open up a blog.
I could not tell you how excited I am for him. Aside from being there for his family in their business, being a photographer, talking to me everyday on whats good and nasty, he is genuinely a sweet heart, and *cough* single *cough*
His blog has a twist to it, its not a general blog, its very specific on a topic your heart loves more than those who you call the most, HAH, its about vacation spots, traveling, restaurants, and it places.
I really do mean well when I say that he’s a photographer, wana know how well he’s doing ? Well, he’s been on Flicker’s main explorer page for 20+ times now. Just incase you like any of the pics I took on my blog, trust that he’s the one who taught me how to snap’em.

p.s: He has one down side to him. He loves to break things under the name of “experiment” , see, thats how I got my favorite sea shell broken when he tried to see if it resists being pressured by a paper clipper, pen broken when he tried to merge the magnificence of GRAVITY with “it might not fall down” Newton probabilities ! AMAZING work baby, amazing !

Ten minutes ago, I had an entire post planned out. However, by the time I logged into Wordpress, clicked on ‘Add New [Post]‘, and was just about to type, I forgot everything! How is that even possible?! I don’t even remember what the topic I wanted to write about was. It’s either I’m growing old, or my brain cells have been reduced to the minimal number of four.

Social Submitter is an application that allows to automatically submit your prepared tagged article with a link to target resource to a large set of social bookmarking sites. The database contains about 250 bookmarking sites and we update it several times a week to ensure the highest quality of submission. The database update runs automatically on program startup, so you won’t need to do anything for it.
During submission the application will ask you to select the sites that are suitable for your project from the database, set thematic category your article belongs to and set up the article itself (add URL, contents, and tags).
