photo”s” taken while frustrated
Thursday, August 31st, 2006The top left picture is a shot of my very contaminated bench "literally" you dont wanna know an example of the viruses we recieve daily here. The pic on the right is of my/and my friend's notice board, see how many smily's i need to get through one day without caffeine!! "god forbid"
The bottom left pic is of a logo of a co-op, wont say which one although i know most of you will figure out, but i really think the logo is very outdated and needs to be changed, it reminds me of a box of tissues!! All the co-ops around kuwait are being renwed!! Why is this one damned..
Finally, just a thought
my collegue who is a bit new to kuwait said to me; "kuwaiti women shocked me with their addiction to coffee"
I then took a look at our coffee room's table and found 4 jars of large nescafe, 2 jars of coffee mate, 3 large boxes of lepton tea and twinings breakfast tea and loads of sugar, spoons and disposable cups. its true i think this country is highly addicted to coffee, and tea. oh and pepsi i mean thats caffeine too!!
Why I Love Beirut
Thursday, August 31st, 2006A member of A Small World answered the question: "Why do you love Beirut?" with the following:
I love Beirut for its opposites.
I love Beirut because I see a girl in a mini skirt and her sister in a chador.
I love Beirut because it is neither West nor East it is both.
I love Beirut because one can party till 6 in the morning and not realize that it is Tuesday morning.
I love Beirut because Beirutis live as if they are going to die tomorrow and party as if they are going to live forever.
I love Beirut because I can be swimming in the morning and 30 minutes later I'm on the slopes skiing or doing après ski.
I love Beirut because I have never seen the sun this strong anywhere in the world.
I love Beirut because I can see 6,000 years of history.
I love Beirut because Christians and Muslims are living an understanding and do not need to have Christian Muslim understanding classes.
I love Beirut because every Beiruti has a political opinion and will share it with you even if you could careless about his and you want to share yours with him.
I love Beirut for all the conspiracy theories and how many people actually believe them.
I love Beirut because any night I can find a friend to go out with.
I love Beirut because I do not need to call my friends to go and see them at their houses I just stop by.
I love Beirut because as soon as I arrive at one of my friends houses his mom takes me to the kitchen and becomes the spokesperson of the refrigerator.
I love Beirut because one can smell gardenia, and jasmine.
I love Beirut because strawberries taste like strawberries and fruits taste like fruits.
I love Beirut because the food is so good that one gains pounds even if she tries to lose.
I love Beirut because although the Lebanese women at times look alike as some did their surgeries at the same plastic surgeon they are the most elegant women I have ever seen.
I love Beirut because when I go out at night I don't know at which women to look at as each one is gorgeous in her own way.
I love Beirut because everyone knows me by name.
I love Beirut because I don't have to explain myself.
I love Beirut because of the traffic jams and the people you meet because of them.
I love Beirut because of the noise pollution from cars honking.
I love Beirut for the spirituality of the people whether Muslim or Christian.
I love Beirut because I'm the first to call my Muslim friends on Ramadan and they are the first to call me on Easter.
I love Beirut because on May 1st I see Muslims visiting Harissa (Virgin Mary) just like I see Christians.
I love Beirut because we can differentiate between a Jew and an Israeli.
I love Beirut because on the 22nd of every month I see Muslims going to Mar Charbel and believing that a miracle will happen.
I love Beirut because women look like as if they are out of a Vogue magazine.
I love Beirut because you eat to live and live to eat.
I love Beirut because one leaves one cafe to go to another and one does this all day.
I love Beirut because all the Lebanese living outside want to come back and the Lebanese who are in Lebanon envy the ones who are living abroad not realizing what it means to live away from Beirut.
I love Beirut because my sister and her husband are there and my niece and nephew who are 5 are waiting to see their uncle.
I love Beirut because my niece asks me to bring her a pink skirt and tells me: "I love you".
I love Beirut because a girl or a guy can easily tell you I just had a couple of Lexo or Xanax as if they just had a chewing gum.
I love Beirut because for every Lebanese we have a singer.
I love Beirut because the Lebanese star singers sing in nightclubs.
I love Beirut because women go into the swimming pool with full make up.
I love Beirut because guys go in with their cigars.
I love Beirut because it has been destroyed 7 times in History and has risen.
I love Beirut because since 1975 the Beirutis have withstood the PLO, Syrians, and the Israelis.
I love Beirut because the Beirutis will not accept anyone to occupy them and rule over them.
I love Beirut because we feel that it is better to die on our feet than to live on our knees.
I love Beirut because each street is a two way street even if it is a one way officially.
I love Beirut because one can park anywhere and not get a ticket.
I love Beirut because one can go as fast as his speedometer.
I love Beirut because MEA lands there. I love Beirut because on MEA we can clap in union when we are about to land.
I love Beirut not because it is my city, but because it is the city of every Lebanese.
I love Beirut because it welcomes every exile freethinker, independent mind of the Arab world.
I love Beirut because we have hundreds of newspapers and our press is finally free.
I love Beirut because most Arabs dreams of coming to Beirut and wishes his capital was more like Beirut.
I love Beirut because when I explain Beirut to my Western friends, my friends see the passion of Beirut in my eyes.
I love Beirut because there is so much misconception about Beirut in the media and in the minds of people who have never visited.
I love Beirut because when I tell my friends that I'm going to Beirut they tell me can you take me with you.
I love Beirut because we argue over who is going to pay the bill at a restaurant as everyone wants to pay it.
I love Beirut because although many whine about not making enough money everyone is living.
I love Beirut because if I do the cross before I start driving the person next to me does not ask me if I fear that I'm going to get into a car accident but instead does his cross as well.
I love Beirut because we accept our differences as we disagree with each other.
I love Beirut because it serves as a beacon of freedom to the rest of the Arab world.
I love Beirut because to paraphrase what Gibran said about Lebanon "Had Beirut not been my city I would have chosen it to be."
I love Beirut because there is no city like it.
I love Beirut because even if Beirut is being destroyed you are still beautiful and will remain beautiful no matter how disfigured you are.
I love Beirut because you are always on my mind. I love Beirut for no reason. I love Beirut for all the reasons of theworld..."And another one: I am a beiruti. I love Beirut with all my heart and soul.
I love its people, its energy, and its unique beauty. I love so many small things. I love many small parts of Ashrafieh, Monot, Abdel Wahab, Rue du Liban, Sursock, and the trees that arc over the roads bringing shade and shading off rain. I love getting lost in it...
I love the Corniche at dusk and dawn, the magnificent Beirut sunset from anywhere, the AUB campus, Bliss Street, Hamra Street and the smell of falafel, shawarma and sweets.
I love that you can be stuck in traffic at 3am somewhere...I love how informal our darak are with us drivers sometimes...I love the "everything goes" attitude. I love how I hear three languages all the time and it's totally normal. E.g."Maitre, El Hseb Please"I love Zaatar W Zeit after a heavy night of partying...always finding a place to sit in thatteeny place.
I love sitting at Casper & Gambini's overlooking the ancient Roman Ruins.
I love Martyr Square. I love the churches and mosques scattered around the city. I love how complex being Lebanese is. I love how people ALL around the world keep telling me that someone they know or heard of or their parents has been to Lebanon and talks about its gorgeousness and amazing people.
I love the Mediterranean, and we will clean it! I love our amazing cuisine, so proud of our HOMMOS and FALAFEL and MEZA and the worldwide reputation of our food (people now refer to Arabic food as Lebanese Food!)I love the world class:Censored: rest, bars and night clubs we have.
WOW I love the old B-018...and the new one...and the Classic one too...I love our new and upcoming Lebanese designers (clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry)... and their gorgeous little shops...
I love Sour, Saida, Jounieh, Tripoli, Baalbak, Chouf...I love the smell of the city after the rainfall, and the spring smell of gardenia...or the boys who sell you gardenia necklaces at traffic lights...I love how we get wild flowers growing everywhere in sprint, red, white and yellow...I love the energy of the people, their eternal optimism, faith in their city and country, resilience, passion, love, hospitality...

Another Cliche Ramadan TV
Thursday, August 31st, 2006
Al-Balam will be doing some female acting in the program that Al-Rai will be hosting "Shababeek" which is produced by Mohammad Al-Dogejy and starred by Hasan Al-Balam and Naser Darweesh, Al-Rai will also be hosting "Sadoh 4" in which So'ood Al-Shuwaee and Mohammad Al-Hefiti will be doing the pranks. Al-Mosalsalat channel will give a chance for those who missed their programs to watch them after 4+ hours from their original airing time. My personal comment is that we had enough of this routine, every Ramadan it's the same, we need to see new faces, young new actors, brilliant new idea's and programs, these programs are turning to something cliche and boring.

I understand the utter smack-in-the-face shock some get from re-distinguishing the craaazy diving - wait I mean driving here. I'm not saying this because I was affected, but because it bothers me. It's like wil 3eyatho be'llaah 3i8oo8 elwalidayn (ugly treatment of parents), a person enters life in the safe surrounds of their parents and god-forbid end up turning around on their parents is just simply put illogical. That's all for today's moral sociology class. ;P -random I know-
Also I've decided, * I should stay away from nostalgic songs * It's about time I learn how to cook Kuwaiti * and I should get a mobile telephone (preferably N series I suppose)

Kuwiggers Busting a Rhyme
Wednesday, August 30th, 2006Well, it seems this is not the case… people are still freaky…evident by the latest controversy surrounding the Kuwaiti Belly Dancing housewives.
AND now this…..

Ku-wigger is derived from the word Wigger (a wigger is a male caucasion, usually born and raised in the suburbs that displays a strong desire to emulate African American Hip Hop culture and style through "Bling" fashion and generally accepted "thug life" guiding principles.)
Dad wrote: To all parents…..
Wednesday, August 30th, 2006On the other hand different generations might have certain sets of norms and behaviors that fit their specific era, and circumstances. Social and economic factors reflect on human attitudes and family relationships... Extended family form was the norm in Kuwait in the early decades of the 20th century. When I graduated from college in the late 60’s of last century, I found that my father built a new house with separate apartments or quarters, for each of us, the brothers. But then we moved in separate directions to different locations and separate houses…
I thought, then, that the concept of an extended family is done with in Kuwait.
It is true that brothers and sisters, along with their children, do meet occasionally, and communicate with family members, but is it the same? Anyway, one must always remember that it is hard to match his parents in their love and care. The level of love and care may differ according to time and place, but nothing can replace such love and care, especially if you were raised in a healthy social, and family environment.
This is dedicated to you Ali, with love..

Movie Time
Wednesday, August 30th, 2006
After a humorous debate with a family friend on what movie to watch tonight, I ended up playing The Notebook based on popular demand [I was shooting for “Friends with money”]
The movie has an animated beginning, I quickly fell in love with the heroin, as for the hero, I wasn’t convinced with his casting at first but again, he grows on you by the scene.
As the story develops, I found myself wanting to stay in the story within the story, eagerly waiting the moments of retrospection of the epic love story.
So as the plot thickens, my interest began to shift on the lives of the aged lovers, how the devoted Noah challenged his beloved’s irreversible dementia disorder in order to hang onto the thinnest threat of the divine unity they shared over 3 decades ago. [Even the choice of the name of the hero Noah, rebuilding his house to get his lady who's the only thing that's left to him after he lost the closest 2 people he knew, His Father & Best Friend, not to mention losing Alie once before]
Before the end, I found myself so drawn into the movie, every sense was captured and towards the last minutes I fought the urge to sob and just released a few tears.. [ok maybe a few more]
2 thumbs up without hesitation
This adaptation of the novel was sensational and heart warming….
Power Surges :: The Aftermath
Wednesday, August 30th, 2006Camp Jail??
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006Deep in the heart of the Kuwaiti desert lies a world unknown to the average person. A world that looks like a scene from "The Day After". A depressing world. Thousands and thousands of tents lay erect on the desert sand with portable bathrooms around the corner. Kansas Avenue or New Mexico Avenue. No, this is not Spring camp. This is a camp that looks like hell itself and nicknamed Camp jail. You can check in but you can't check out, at least for most.
Yes, thank God for civilization. Thanks for the roof on my head, the bed I sleep on and would you believe, thanks for the bathroom that's not portable but most of all, thanks for the freedom of going wherever I want, whenever I please!
No matter the cause, no matter the price, I couldn't do it. Could you? And if so, how much would they have to pay you for you to check in but not check out? Actually, to put it more bluntly, how much do you think your life is worth?
ummm??

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006When it comes to mobiles, the 'culture of mobility', first thing that comes to mind is how recently released it is. But nevermind that for now and let me tell you how seriously vital mobiles are to more than just a selective generation and a story on the side.
Consider me. I have been for what seems like ages without a mobile... why?
No apparent reason.
My latest mobile I just gave to my Mom. Yet when we travel ofcourse having a mobile is a must, so I'm given one from the family, I then give it back when we come back.
So now after all this time I am going to have to put aside my laziness and procrastination on buying a mobile and actually get it done with already. I can say that my friends pretty much gotten sick of it, but I don't get it why not call my home number anyway? ;p
Oh well. I have been interested in the Nseries before it's release, but Kuwait needs time until we get into the practical stage of them N's. Oh and suggestions of what to get are surely more than welcome. Allah 7ayaah.
Color Me Blind
Tuesday, August 29th, 2006The following car is an example of what a nice pink paint job on a nice car would look like:

It's a decent color of pink and the color actually compliments the car. It's also for sale fa ham da3aya 7ag-hum li'ana they live nearby. :-p
The following two cars are painted colors you should NEVER consider:

Orange? Seriously, orange? no no, seriously?

What is this color? It changes simultaneously. Is it blue? Is it purple? Why is it so shiny?
To the owners of these cars (and friends who encouraged them) I am not trying to offend you. I am merely trying to offend your taste. I'm sorry but what were you thinking? Please TELL me. There is a lot more where this came from. I've seen baby purple cars, cars with 2 different colors, cars with bling-bling on the wheels. Where does it end?
Although, if you actually like it then who am I to judge? In the end it's your car and this is just my personal opinion on the matter.
Update: For KD and all those interested in the pink porsche call 6155589 asap.

Same thing happened last week with my mom and I, see i always dream of this huge field that has fences and trees and i seem to go there to visit poeple i donno with a person i donno either "guy", in dark hours only!!!!
So me and mom lost our way trying to get out of shuwaikh area avoiding 4th ring road as much as we can, and we actually passed by the field that comes in my dreams, when i told my mom she started reading Quran and not talk to me!! she was scared cos it was night too and the place felt like a piece of a place outside kuwait.

Working with Cheese
Monday, August 28th, 2006There are so many varieties of cheese, each with its own unique flavor and texture and color and smell. The best however are raw unpasteurized milk cheese, which is banned in certain countries due to its health risk. The flavor however is plain heaven-on-tastebuds. The real question is; how do you eat cheese or better yet what do you do with that thing? I have compiled a list of things you can do with cheese without damaging the integrity of the cheese in question.
- Parmegiano Reggiano (parmesan): Shaved on top of pastas and salads. Used in pestos and risottos.
- Manchego: Manchego is named for the Spanish region of La Mancha, also home of Don Quixote. A perfect sheep milk Spanish tapas cheese, served as wedges, you can have it with fresh bread and a side of olives.
- Camembert: A nice and mild soft cows milk cheese that is easily spreadable on baguette and crackers. I love to spread it on a nicely grilled wagyu burger on a bagel with Dijon mustard.
- Feta: This cheese is widely used around the Eastern Meditteranean countries. its soft and creamy taste along with its crumbly texture makes it perfect for multiple uses. I usually used it the most in salads with roasted pinenuts, argula and raspberry balsamic dressing.
- Leicester: Similar to cheddar, but has a more deeper orange color and has a flaky texture. I like to have it very simple, just a thick slice between two peices of super soft whole grain bread slices.
- Stilton: This is an English version of the Roquefort, but much milder and creamier. This goes very well on salads or just a plain table cheese.
- Buffalo Mozzarela: This is the most widely misrepresented cheese. The mozzarela you buy from the supermarkets are extremely different than the buffalo mozzarela known to Italians. The best way to eat this cheese is just plain fresh as an antipasti. However, new mozzarela bars in Italy are infusing it with different cuts of meat like bresaola etc. or sliced and served on a bed of arugula. Simply Divine.
Happy New Year to Me!
Monday, August 28th, 2006لدى الجميع الحق في الحياة
Monday, August 28th, 2006

It's amazing the things that go through a child's brain. How they seem so innocent and how they continue to surprise is just amazing.
Now lets take this situation for instance. A few days ago my sis and her kids came over to have lunch and spend the afternoon. There were remarks made during lunch of how my bro forgot to order dessert. So after we finished our meal the family headed towards the living room, some to have their traditional tea after anything thing and others lounge around trying to ease the suffering caused by their bloated karsha's. We sat there talking and sipping, I noticed the older and very loud niece's weren't there trying so cutly (not a word I know) to pass herself of as an adult. I start looking around but her huge kisha is no where in sight. Suddenly a bustle is heard from the small kitchen on the second floor. The sound continues for a couple of minutes. Then my lovely six and a half year old niece walk's outta the kitchen and into our tea and sugar infested living room holding this:

My dear lovely and caring niece did not want us to spend our afternoon without some dessert.
So here's the thing. Yeah her intentions seemed nice but no one really could bring themselves to eating this mix. I mean just hearing everyone's excuse as to why they can't try it was funny enough. I was the last one and my excuse was that am on medication and I can't have anything with sugar for the whole day. she let out a very faint and disappointed sigh, no one tried her dessert, the one she made for us. As she was humbly walking out to take back her plate my brother asked her, "hey, why don’t u try it?" she quickly replied "are u for real, look at it its scary am not gonna try it"
go figure ;p

Sunday, August 27th, 2006Back in 2000, Bush's ignorance of foreign policy and his inexperience with the countries of the world never bothered the American electorate, but after 9/11 everything changed. That day the consequences of an unbalanced US foreign policy went back home to bite the hand that fed its growth. US foreign policy went up in priorities, and the world got stuck with America’s poor choice of president.
I was reminded of this when I heard an interview on the radio about Bush’s experience with the world before he was president. Someone being interviewed said that Bush never visited any country outside of the United States except for one, and that was Israel!
So, I wanted to verify that and found this answer on Google Answers (which by the way is a great reference).
Anyway to summarise, the AP reported in December 2000 that,
“Bush's foreign travels have been limited to three visits to Mexico, two trips to Israel, a three-day Thanksgiving visit in Rome with one of his daughters in 1998 and a six-week excursion to China with his parents in 1975 when his father was the U.S. envoy to Beijing.”The Mexico visits were just short trips across the border from Texas. Apparently, as governor he had some shallow “diplomatic experience” with Mexico, which at the time of the campaign had impressed Condoleezza Rice immenesly! In China, according to the New York Times, he was "trying to date Chinese women (unsuccessfully) during a visit to Beijing in 1975."
So, what was the Israel trip about?
As governor of Texas, Bush was invited in 1998 by Isreal's prime minister Netanyahu to visit Israel.
Looking through the internet, I found this. A speech he made after that rare visit outside the United States, attributed to then-governor Bush's press office.
It honestly reads like a “what did I do during my summer break” school essay. It was about his trip to Italy, then to a two-hour visit to Egypt to have dinner with Mubarak, then to Israel to “listen and learn.”
His visit was one-sided, and never mentions the Palestinians. Even when he visited the Golan Heights, his words were about a lady born in Texas that responded to a nationalistic call to move to Israel. She moved from Texas to live in the Golan Heights, which are Syrian lands occupied by Israel. Yet, that never registers in his mind. Why would it?
He goes on to gloat that he saw democracy, and that Israel is the only democracy in the Middle East. Israel - a democratic country? Israel, the country with ghettos for the indigenous people that aren’t allowed to trade or move. A democratic country where an Arab-Israeli is valued less then a Jewish-Israeli. He never saw that. Why would he?
Towards the end of the speech, the purpose of his visit as Governor of Texas becomes clear. It’s money. He says, “we've got over $600 million of trade with Israel now.” I bet he also got some guarantees of support for his presidential campaign.
So, why troll through this? Why look back at things 6 years ago? Who cares? Well, we all should.
A mistake like Bush should not happen again. With the way his administration has involved America in the world, no one like Bush should ever be elected again. If America wants to involve itself in the world, then it needs to be represented with leaders that are capable of communicating with the world. Through diplomacy, negotiations, and understanding. America should endeavour to build bridges, instead of flattening lands to reconstruct. America should converse to share values, instead of shooting bullets to change minds.
No more cowboys.
As the US mid-term election campaigns start to whirl and post-Bush America start to be shaped, the subject of foreign policy and foreign affairs competency has to be an important metric by which candidates are measured. This is what the world needs, and demands, from America now. Before America’s interventionist attitude further polarises the world, and draw us all into an age of furthermore fear and violence.
No more simpletons.

Sunday, August 27th, 2006Disclaimer: If you are in any way offended by the talk of masturbation then please refrain from reading this post.

I wanted to write how B's nephew masturbates but I don't have the time nor the energy to look up children exhibitionists. I'd rather talk about masturbation in general. (Also inspired by another blogger who loves masturbating so much he got turned on when I told him my cat licks himself) – That was an exaggeration but the real version is pretty close.
This post is not supposed to be sexual, it is merely me shedding some light on certain aspects of masturbation that I wasn't aware of. If you have more accurate information on the matter then please enlighten me.
"The word masturbation is believed by many to derive from the Greek word mezea ("penises") and the Latin turbare ("to disturb")." – So apparently, masturbating is disturbing ones penis? Hmm.
1) What does Islam think of masturbation?
"Istimna (استمناء) is the Arabic term for masturbation. Masturbation may only be done in fear of committing adultery, nor is it preferred (either getting married and fasting is suggested as alternatives) It is totally forbidden in the Shi'a sect, but the four Sunni schools of jurisprudence (known as 'mazaheb') have differing stances on the issue. Some consider it forbidden in all cases. Some see it forbidden in certain cases but obligatory in others. Another view is that it is 'makruh' but not expressly forbidden. Scholars of Islam do not approve of masturbation, except in extenuating circumstances."
2) Are there any benefits to masturbating?
"It is held in many mental health circles that masturbation can relieve depression and lead to a higher sense of self-worth + On July 16, 2003, an Australian research team led by Graham Giles of The Cancer Council published a medical study which concluded that frequent masturbation by males may help prevent the development of prostate cancer. The study also indicated that this would be more helpful than ejaculation through sexual intercourse because intercourse can transmit diseases that may increase the risk of cancer instead."
Boys and Girls:
"Compulsive masturbation can be part of a sexual addiction syndrome"

How to modify your PSP D-pad
First off I would like to thank UfighterX.com for coming up with this brilliant technique to tackle the problem of the PSP d-pad. Surly the PSP D-pad is great and all but when it comes to play fighting games such as Darkstalkers, Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Tekken Dark Resurrection; it really pisses a lot of the hardcore gamers out there when they can’t even perform a simple fireball.
I wrote my own version of this tutorial and I have omitted some of the stuff that ufighterX.com uses in their guidelines. It may look the same to you but you’ll find some simple differences. Note: Do not attempt to use this tutorial if you’re not confident enough in opening up your own PSP. Otherwise you’ll probably end up in damaging it. If you are confident enough then Go for Broke!! Enjoy and please let me know how your results turn out. :D
The tools that you’ll need:

1. Scissor
2. Scotch Tape (Not thick one)
3. Sharp Blade
4. A Screw Driver
5. A Hole puncher *Preferably, a 1 hole*
6. Couple of Optical lens cloths.
7. An old NES sleeve or some black board paper that is about 0.5 mm in thickness. Not too heavy and not too light. Should have a feel of at least 3 – 4 A4 paper stapled all together. (You’ll be using it to create a cross hair)
8. Cross hair Template from UfighterX.com or here is my add-on version of the template.
Link: http://darkwolf.eprofile.us/images/CrossTemplateUfighterX.jpg
Preparing the Template:
1. Print out the template.
2. Cut a piece of the cross hair template and use a scotch tape to stick it on the NES sleeve or the black board paper. Before cutting the template of the NES sleeve, use the hole-puncher to create a hole in the middle. After that cut the template out and you should have your own cross hair ready.

3. Take a piece of scotch tape and roll it inside out so that you’ll have both sides sticky. *Optional, 2 sided sticky tape*
4. Cut the tape in a small circle format just enough to fill all four sides of the cross hair and stick it.
Opening the PSP:
1. Open up the battery cover and remove the battery from your PSP. Also remove the warranty sticker as of from this point your voiding your warranty. There are seven screws in total and they all need to be removed. Follow the picture below:

2. Have your optical lens cloth ready. During your work make sure that your PSP screen faces the table and that there is a lens cloth underneath. Lift up your PSP system from the face plate.

3. Immediately cover both your PSP system screen and your PSP “back” faceplate with the lens cloth as shown in the picture below. The reason, to avoid dust from touching your screen including your own finger prints. In addition to avoid usage of a can of air. Although a can of air is an option and that it is not essential.

The D-pad Fix:
1. On your face plate you’ll notice a rubber thingy is in place of the d-pad. Remove both the rubber and the d-pad.

2. Use the template that you have just created (make sure that it is taped inside out) and stick it on to the PSP d-pad (Not the rubber but the plastic one). Make sure that your template is in place exactly in the middle of the d-pad.

3. Place in your newly modified d-pad on to the PSP faceplate and patch up your entire PSP.
4. Test your PSP d-pad movement. The pad should not have a feel of thickness but normal (in a way, it should have a new feel to it).
5. Lastly, test your d-pad with Street fighter Alpha 3. This is mandatory because you have to perform a simple fireball so that your entire work would be a complete success. Other than that, I think Ryu is Capcom’s symbol in all 2D fighting games. He is a basic character and a key for all normal maneuvers of Street Fighter characters or any other fighting games out there by Capcom. If you can jump in all directions and that you can perform all of Ryu’s moves perfectly without any hassle; then give yourself a pat on the back for you have just modified your own PSP d-pad.
Here is an example of my modified d-pad results:

Thursday, August 24th, 2006Websites I don't recommend buying from (in my opinion) because I have
heard from others (websites, people, forums) that they sell FAKES:
products, NEVER the Chanel purse online. If you want to buy one, you
should go to a boutique or NM the store because NM online doesnt sell
them)

“Holly skin patching, Batman. It’s Dr. Hannibal Lecter!”
From the first look at this picture, I thought it was a gun shaped miniature pizza. But I was sadly mistaken. For it was a real human skin, stitched up all together to take a shape of a gun.
The artist behind this sick, disgusting master piece was done by a Dutch woman named Joanneeke Meester. Her story on how she created this hideous project of hers was that she went into surgery to have an 8-inch-long piece of her skin to be removed. God only knows what reason that was for. In the end, instead of getting rid of the skin, she thought of creating a gun cover so that she can use it to it to cover a gun-shaped plastic and fiber mold.
I don’t want to post this photo in my blog for it is indeed disgusting. So I’ll just place a link for you to have a look see.

Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006I’ve been having some problems since I’ve come here, all the stuff I brought or rather most of the stuff I brought from the US need a transformer, which kinda sucks. Why can’t US be like the rest of the world and use 220 Volts!

Hair Combing
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006I just was wondering is that normal or abnormal?
Do a lot of people don't comb their hair and just leave it to nature to deal with it?
Waleed Bin Talal Or Machboos??
Wednesday, August 23rd, 2006"Well, you're daloo3a...you like being pampered...you do massages, manicures, pedicures and facials...you're more likely want to quit your job and let your husband spoil you. You're also sexy and deserve a Waleed Bin Talal...etc."
It was mixture of being extremely insulted but complimented all at the same time. Part of me felt that she made me sound so pathetic and the other part felt touched that she thought I deserved a millionaire. Needless to say, I was confused!
Then I got to thinking about rich men. Yes, if I saw a beautiful sports car, I do get a physical reaction and think "Oh my God, it's beautiful!" You'd think I saw a good looking man! Naturally, I never ever look inside to check the guy out. For starters, they're usually not good looking (sorry if I'm generalizing but usually they're not, I swear!)...Second, if he was good looking, I wouldn't want to have anything to do with him because RICH MEN SCARE ME!
Maybe it's my preconceived ideas of rich men. All those millions, beautiful models, sports cars and jets all at his feet...Everybody at his beck and call and he snaps his fingers and all the ladies run to him...it's just too much for little ol' me to put up with. I just couldn't do it. I know a man's temptation that comes with being so rich. Why would they stick to one chick. True, not all men are alike but hey, if he was traveling for business and met up with Angelina Jolley, would you blame him if he had a fling? I know it's crazy for me to admit it but it's true...unless he happens to be very religious, I doubt he'll be able to resist and who would blame him.
As for religious millionaires, well, I'd have to sit and really ask "how" religious is he. If his millions are going to go to bad charity, I definitely wouldn't want to have anything to do with him, thank you very much! Besides, how many religious millionairs are there out there?!
My encounter with rich men started when I was very young. I remember having a buddy who was so rich and was constantly being fought over by the girls in school. Sadly, he was also very lonely. He just couldn't tell who really liked him and who was just using him because he was rich. Later, we kinda stopped being friends because his paranoia got on my nerves and I was just too insulted by his constant fear that I was using him for something.
In the end, I suppose we all have dreams to live the life of the rich and famous or the "Waleed Bin Talal" life...but in reality,...I'm not sure that's a dream I would want to pursue...maybe I'm crazy but a diamond ring or a fur coat after his business trip in Paris would only make me more miserable 'coz I'll know he was up to something..Call me silly but a simple guy who can't afford his own private jet but can afford ordering machboos from Bin 3ateej while we watch TV at home, definitely sounds much more appealing.......yes..I do believe other girls wouldn't give a shit what he was up to and would just be happy with the fur coat and the diamond ring..but when it comes to me..the "daloo3a" as she called me..I'd take the home delivered machboos from Hawally any time, any day baby...so pass me the dakoos please..
